Health awareness a great success in Johi and Dadu

JOHI: Bakht Jamal Soomro, Executive Director Johi Organization for Rural Development and Natural Resources (JORDAN) said that the Abts Health and hygienic project has played a vital role in creating awareness on health issues, among the people of Johi taluka and District Dadu. While the project officer, Mr. Khadim Soomro said that they are coordinating the activities with line departments to activate two water purification plants one each in Dadu and Johi city. These plants have been constructed but remain deserted due to official indifference and public’s apathy. This organization is using different tools to garner public support and lobbying for support from cross sections of the society and are arranging sessions with local NGOs and CBOs. Recently it has organized two mega events, one health mela (fair) in Johi city the other in District headquarters Dadu, where officials of rhe health department and hundreds of women and men participated.
